Cadet Gerardo Apolinar received the First State Bank "Fallen Officers Memorial Scholarship" from CEO Chad Stary at Southwest Texas Junior College. Cadet Julian Almaguer, unable to attend, also received the scholarship. Three other cadets received scholarships from the American Legion Post 26.

First State Bank of Uvalde presented the SWTJC Law Enforcement Academy with an annual scholarship to honor fallen officers. This scholarship will support future generations pursuing law enforcement careers. Pictured: Daniel Rodriguez, Charles Mendeke, Bill Dillard, Chad D. Stary, Andy Davila Jr., Dr. Hector Gonzales, and Ryan Kindell.
Chanel Perez, a senior at Sul Ross State University Rio Grande College, received this year's scholarship from the First State Bank of Uvalde.
